Such a beautiful view, right? I got the privilege of attending Joy’s workshop in Asheville, NC. Since beginning my business years ago I have been an avid fan and follower of her work. If you haven’t heard of Wildflowers Photography before, check out her work! Every time I’ve seen a workshop by her before it’s either been in California or Texas, so once I saw she was coming to NC it was too perfect. I hesitated at first because I found out I was pregnant around the same time…but we all packed up and Pierson and Paul came with me. I just couldn’t pass up the opportunity. Anyhow, we got to stay in the little cabin right next door to the Brimgman House, which was the Historic house the workshop was held. As soon as we arrived we had time to meet everyone and check it all out. Joy had spent alot of time decorating and setting up a cozy little retreat for us all. She was so kind, warm, and welcoming, which is just how I’d imagined her to be. We jumped straight into our first photoshoot Joy set up which was a cute little family. They were celebrating their one year anniversary of moving to Asheville by doing a Ode’ to Asheville shoot, and they ROCKED it. The mom had made some really awesome bow and arrow props! The next day we photographed a cute little couple on a farm that had the most amazing mountain backdrop! I had such a great time and met some great girls that will forever be friends. Joy was very sweet to open up to us and share with us her journey, tips, and experiences on a business level and also personal level. We covered so many topics and I will be forever grateful for her. I walked away with such energy and excitement and Im ready to make changes and continue growing towards my goals. Please enjoy some of the images from my 3 days in Asheville, NC.
