My family and I traveled to Pembroke to watch my brother graduate last Saturday. We are all so proud of him and as we stood in the hallway watching them all walk by to enter the gym, we started to panic that we wouldn’t be allowed in to watch the ceremony. Each family was given so many tickets, but somehow seating was limited. They closed the doors on us and wouldn’t let anyone in. Now imagine all the angry families who are stuck in the hallway, some kicking on the doors. See we were given tickets, and I don’t know if the people inside the gym ever had to give or show their ticket, but no one ever asked us for ours. We had them though. We were missing it. Finally we were let in and managed to get some decent seats on the floor. To say I’m unbelievable proud of my brother would be an understatement. He was in college right after high school but ended up “taking a break” and never went back. Until 4 years ago when he decided to move away and attend UNCP. Since then he has accomplished so much, met some amazing friends and is about to start a whole new journey in life. As the speaker Newy Scruggs said- Getting their degree that day is one of the top ten moments of their life. I’m not going to lie. It think it is one of my top moments too ;) Enjoy some of my brother Scott as he Graduated from UNCP on December 11th 2011.
