As some of you know, we moved into our new house at the end of May this year. We immediately (like seriously-the first few days!) started tilling for a garden. It’s one of the main things we were looking forward to having at our new house. A big back yard with a big garden. This summer we have had the best time tending to our garden. It became a nightly ritual to go out with Pierson to pick (he would sometimes pick even if they weren’t ready-woops!), water, and hoe the garden. Along with the millions of mosquito bites we collected we also yielded insane amounts of cucumber, squash, tomatoes, and okra. It was a lot of work but so rewarding! We accumulated so much we were able to share with our neighbors, friends, and freeze some for later. The garden this summer was my happy place. I can’t wait till next year. Enjoy some pictures Paul took of Pierson and I one evening and feel free to share any favorite recipes, plants, etc. from your garden!
