December Goals + Tree Lot

I was inspired by a fellow photographer to do a post about my Decemeber Goals (Thanks Cheyenne!).   Im a huge list maker, and am ALWAYS writing things down…I should have stock in post it notes.  This is my first time writing a blog post though, and Decmeber seems like a great month to do it!

Personal Goals:

1.  Finish my Christmas Shopping.  I actually went out briefly on Black Friday and got about half the presents…I just need to finish it up and wrap everything.

2.  Get our Christmas Cards addressed and mailed out!  Im about half way though this.  Our cards came today (Im so excited for this years card), so I should be done with this one soon!

3.  Make a few dozen of Christmas cookies.  I love baking in general but this month we are going to our first ever cookie exchange party.   Trying out a few new things….What’s your favorite cookies?

4.  Pick out our Christmas tree at our Favorite Tree Lot.   This we’ve actually already done, and have included some pictures below!

5.  Enjoy a family Christmas outing….lights!!  We’ve been to McAdenville a few times already but this year I wanted to try something new.  I was thinking of either going to Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens, or a place called Zootastic.  Have you been to either of those places?  Opinions? Suggestions?  Pierson LOVES light and music…

Business Goals:

1.  Package and Mail off client Gifts….In the process of doing this now and about half way done.

2.  Prepare and gather an interest board for my new logo.  I start in January on working with someone on a new log design (more of that to come).  I just want to gather a plethora of images that all have elements I like.

3.  Prepare/Pack for my trip to Tennessee   This is more Personal then business probably but next week I will be flying to Tennessee to  hang out with a handful of my sweet friends I met last year at a workshop, and also meet a handful of new friends.  Im so VERY excited for this trip and can’t wait to see everyone.  Im really looking forward to relaxing, laughing, sharing stories, and enjoying a fun mini vacation.

4.  Finish up on ALL editing.  I have a few sweet little babies to meet this weekend and one other session but hoping to wrap up with the year with a clean slate.

5.  Dive deeper into the final details and plans for a styled shoot and possibly even do it this month.   This is something I’ve been wanting to do for a while and it’s int he works with a planner I met.  Very excited to see how it all comes together.

That’s it for now…. Here are some fun pictures from the tree lot.  I love picking our tree out every year.  We don’t live close to this lot anymore (about 30+ min. from it) but it’s by far my favorite….and worth the trip.
