Happy New Years Peeps!!
Hope everyone had a great time ringing in the new year. We spent ours at home watching movies, a tradition of ours started when year 2011-2012 when I was newly preggers (only 6’sh weeks along) and didn’t want to go out and party. We spent that year celebrating in the movie theatre. Then last year and this year we rented red box movies. I could see this being fun when Pierson’s old enough to go see a movie with him. He didn’t make it past his 8 o’clock bedtime this year ;) although he did get to celebrate with a bubble bath in our big tub.
Anyhow I have many new years resolutions this year. Here are my top 5 :
1. Eat more healthy and get in shape. This one will be hard…..I sure do love my mint Oreos!
2. Learn to cook more meals and Cook meals for my family. Paul’s always been the cooker in the family, and Ive always loved to bake. This year I really want to focus more on perfecting a bunch of good meals. Any good recipe’s that are easy are welcome!
3. Invest more time and energy into Peepsake Studios. This is a big one for me. I not only want to invest time and energy but I really want to grow Peepsake in general and mold it into what I really desire it to be. We are making progress on this one already. Im starting a logo re-design project this month and we have a beautiful styled shoot coming up in Jan. as well with a few more ideas of shoots in the works. Im SO excited for this. Really.Excited. For the past 4 years I’ve been doing photography its been a second job for me. Starting this year, literally last week (!), Peepsake Studios has taken a full time roll with me. With the exception of mommy hood of course. Im so very excited for this journey Me and My business will take this year.
4. Spend more time with Pierson! He’s growing so fast and learning so much and I don’t want to miss a single part of it. Im so excited to have more morning, more lunches, and more nights with him. I think he’s pretty excited too.
5. Take more pictures with my big girl camera. I take so many pictures with my iPhone (thank goodness I have that), but I really want to pick up my camera more and capture my year a different way. Im sure you’ve prob. seen a lot of people doing the 365 projects. I love seeing them, but won’t fool myself into thinking I’d be even slightly successful at it. Im going to start a 52weeks project, posting one picture a week (or more if I can squeeze it in). If I complete the whole year, maybe I’ll try the 365 next year. Posting it here really makes me feel like I have to do it now….I hope I can stick with it. Here is my week one!
